New in PushFeedback: Screenshot editor, builder v2, and metadata

David Garcia ยท

July's been a quieter month with the team taking some well-deserved holidays, but we still managed to ship some nice updates. The screenshot editor you've been asking for is here, we rebuilt our feedback widget builder from scratch, and laid the groundwork for some exciting integrations.

Let's dive in.

Screenshot editor: Now with annotations

Screenshot Editor

Before, screenshots were just a rectangle selection. Now you can highlight parts, add arrows, draw text, and give proper context to your feedback.

This is especially useful for:

  • Internal teams providing feedback to colleagues.

  • Clients who want to give detailed, visual feedback while development is ongoing.

  • Bug reports that need precise visual context.

The best part? You don't need to do anything. Just make sure you're running the latest version of the PushFeedback widget, and your users will automatically have access to these editing tools.

Builder v2: Customization made simple

Builder v2

We've completely rebuilt our widget customization experience from the ground up. Builder v2 makes it easier than ever to:

  • Edit text and messaging.

  • Customize colors and styling.

  • Control exactly where your feedback widget appears

  • Preview changes in real-time

The new interface is cleaner, faster, and designed to get you from idea to implementation in minutes.

Metadata: Tag and categorize your way

Every feedback entry can now include arbitrary metadata. Perfect for adding tags, categories, or any custom data that helps you organize feedback.

Some creative ways our users are leveraging metadata:

  • Tagging which app section the feedback came from

  • Adding customer segment information

  • Categorizing feedback by priority or team

This gives you much more flexibility in how you organize and analyze the feedback you receive.
