Choose what your screenshot captures
Visitors can now choose the view they want to capture before taking a screenshot. After they select Add a screenshot, a capture bar stays at the top of the browser while they scroll to the relevant part of the page. Capture this view takes the screenshot when they're ready.
The screenshot editor then fills the browser viewport, even when the feedback form is embedded in a narrow sidebar or another clipped area. Their draft feedback stays in place throughout the capture flow.
Embedded forms use this positioning step automatically. Regular and inline feedback buttons can opt in by adding screenshot-positioning="true":
<feedback-button project="YOUR_PROJECT_ID" screenshot-positioning="true">
Feedback
</feedback-button>The floating widget keeps its existing one-click screenshot flow unless you turn on positioning.
The embedded-mode screenshot guide explains the capture flow and links to options for changing the capture bar's text and styles.
